Versus Fighting / C++ / Unreal Engine
9 weeks - 2025
Eternal Vice is a realistic 3D versus-fighting game inspired by Mortal Kombat. Choose your sin, crush the others, and reign for eternity! Embody the seven deadly sins, prove you're the best fighter and finish your opponent in a gruesome execution.
Eternal Vice was the final project of my 4rd and final year at Creajeux. We worked on it 1 day a week for 4 weeks, then full time for 8 more weeks. Our team was composed of 6 programmers and 5 graphists.
I spent a lot of time working on the game's architecture, the player's controller and it's game feel, and the combat system in general. I also made tools to help the artists implement and test their animations, made easier the implementation of the AIs, and finally worked on the camera and the cinematics.
This was my first big project in Unreal Engine, so I had to do a lot of research regarding what the engine has to offer. I'm happy with how the game feels, but I'm even happier with how modular and scalable the game's architecture is. Implementing a new fighter would take 1 or 2 days at most.
